We walked around the kampong after dinner so that we can get exposure to the kampong life.
The games Indonesian kids play in their kampong. Pole dancing. Veron's favourite.
If you can't see, the villagers were all looking at us as we walked past. They all seem to know we don't belong there. My other friends are able to accept the stares but not me. I felt extremely irritated.
The village's very own fashion boutique. Tiow Hong got a fashionable tee for about $5.
Surprise! They play pool too. Though the cues aren't straight and the balls aren't exactly round.
Vanessa's Kindergarten. Quite a good place apparently.
Figure 1.1
That is why your mum always says:"I told you so!"
Day 3.
On another ferry to Veron's dad's rice factory and theatre house.
"I hate mosquitoes" written all over my face.

Goodbye Tg Leidong!
Lake Toba! Lake water isn't salty. Something I've learnt. -_-"
Rays from the sun shines from above the hills onto the morning dew which formed the little rainbow. Awesome.
Our resort was in the hills and the temperature was low. Everyone were in good spirits. I'm sorry was grumpy.
Hangtime!
Eat and eat! Bottomless pit.

We rented paddle boats at the beach! Captain of this boat, Chua Tiow Hong. An absolute rare sighting of him.

Captain the other boat, Ash.

We had fun with jet skies too. Veron and Tiow Hong share one. And, yes. He posed. Though not shown in the photo, Tiow Hong's butt slipped at the sudden acceleration of the jet ski.

Our stuff under a giant Mushroom. I was drinking Fanta, a red coloured drink which tastes like cough syrup. I prefer Teh Botol.
Last night at Lake Toba, we had steamboat.
All Blacks. Oh, another rare sighting of our photographer! He doesn't look impressed we took his picture. He prefers to be mysterious...
All reds. My face makes up for the white on my shirt.
Veron didn't come along with us for the rest of the trip. Therefore, us Singaporeans were without our trump card and were treated like dirt. See what they offered us for lunch. My packet, not taken to hide further abuse, did not contain any fish. I only had rice, cucumber and ikan bilis.
Back to Port Klang.
We travelled by train back to KL where we lived in a motel just above Chinatown.
Our detour to KLCC.
At last! We're on a train to Butterworth where we would spend a good 6 hrs before we take another train to Bangkok. We got sleeper class tickets and my 'bunk' was above Ash's.
Xy's bunk was above Ginny's and we couldn't be bothered to take a picture of Tiow Hong's bunk.
Transit at Butterworth. We reached at 6 in the morning. The train to Bangkok leaves at 2 in the afternoon. So we checked into another motel and rested.
Walking around Penang. Apparently nothing much to see.
Back at the train station.
Butterworth-Bangkok. We didn't know the journey by train would take 21 hrs.
I posed for an emo shot.
The pain from Ginny's leg was getting into her so much, you can see it from her face. The guys didn't think much of it though..
Finally!! After 21 hrs, we've reached our final destination - Bangkok.
Next task: find our hotel, check in, get out, find Siam Square and find John.
First task completed!
Second task completed without much hassle too.
John, our tour guide round Thailand, was as relieved as us now that we've arrived safely.
First things first, we had to do some damage control to our stomachs since leaving Tg Leidong.
We haven't had proper food since then.
Group photo in front of Siam Square's fountain.
We watched 'Transformers' there. It'll probably be the last time I watch a movie in Thailand. Their adverts are super long and in Thai! Harry Potter's 5th movie was coming out and as such, the cinema area was kinda propped with characters from the book. Ash took a photo with you-know-who.
Whereas I, took a photo with Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix.
A sign we saw in a taxi. It might have other meanings but from what we interpreted, it meant 'no farting'.
Thailand International Airport, or so I think it is called. Notice the green plastic bag. Inside contained a pair of Manutd shorts and pillow which costed $60 Sgd. I lost the whole bag. I was quite depressed after that.
We took Tiger Airways home. A perfect end to a budget holiday.
Home sweet home.
